About this Garden Plan

The successive vegetable garden: Although broccoli and cabbage have cabbage worms as pests, the time of harvest of the plants (mainly winter months) suggests that these plants will not have much trouble with those pests. However, the beans are prone to attract Japanese beetles and Mexican bean beattles. The Fruit Garden: The blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry fruits are susceptible to maggots, while the cantalope are easily damaged by squash bugs, squash vine borers, cucumber beetles and bacterial wilt. Using a row cover or fine netting before the fruit is mature should help prevent these pests from damaging the fruit.
